Back of the box:

Everyone's favorite desert-dwelling mutant cannibals return in this
gruesome sequel to the classic drive-in shocker! Years after the original
massacre that pitted a suburban family against a band of cave dwellers,
traumatized survivors return to the wild on an expedition. When their bus
breaks down, the travelers must fight off the hungry savages as they
reemerge from the hills in search of dinner!
The Bloody Truth:

In a strange attempt to recapture the disturbing fear of the first film we are
reintroduced to the surviving boy who find himself now needing to return to
the desert to support his new career in off road dirt bike racing.  As far as
horror sequels go this one actually gives a good effort at the start to
develop some characters and remind us of the sociological damage
surviving the first films events would leave you with.

Strangely and with out warning they drop all of this and toss a handful of
kids in to the middle of the run down “hill peoples” home stead where an
hour of awkward, silly and thoroughly unbelievable action ensues.

This may be a fun watch for classic B movie horror fans but don’t expect
anything that the first film delivered.
Get your twisted mountain men,
mutants and horribly dysfunctional
families here
