Back of the box:

As 12-year-old Timothy prepares to turn 13, he's blissfully unaware that he's
a half blood slated to transform -- and that his extended family of
good-hearted werewolves has been protecting him since the day he was
born. Elsewhere, lurking in the shadows, an evil pack of werewolves has
been waiting for more than a decade to pounce on him and claim him as its
own.
The Bloody Truth:

Werewolf fans your endless frustration continues

Simply I believe the film makers truly wanted to make something original and
create the ever so rare “Good Werewolf movie” The cast is strong and the
decision to go with “wolf man” type werewolves is actually handled well with a
few truly terrifying visual moments.  Even the story and characters our full of
interesting and dramatic potential.

Unfortunately with all of this in hand and a large and varied cast the film is
completely mismanaged. Clichés are used in place of creative plot points
and the story seems to be forced along with little direction or pacing

Skin walkers constantly hints at the great character development potentials
and yet they never come close to realization.

Skin Walkers sadly falls in line with many werewolf movies though the true
frustration is how good this film might have been.  To be fair, if you just
dieing to see a werewolf movie of any sort, you could do allot worse.
