Back of the box:

Sin City makes an appropriate setting for this over-the-top
slasher/sexploitation flick from writer-director Nick Palumbo. When a Las
Vegas fashion photographer (Sven Garrett) develops a penchant for
murder, the body count rises swiftly and steadily as the shutterbug killer
manages to deceive just about everyone he encounters -- everyone, that
is, but an 11-year-old girl -- in this film notable for its heaping helping of
gore and sadism.
The Bloody Truth:

A random and unorganized story of a confused psychopath.

The strangely respected independent film Murder Set Pieces is an attempt
at a somewhat artistic and thought provoking study of a confused serial
killer and the people in his life.

Haunted by poor acting, practical effects and characters I was not able to
find anything good or entertaining about this film.

Unfortunately it’s all the filmmaking weaknesses that take away all the
impact this story might have had if handled with more experienced hands.
I commend the filmmakers for attempting something different and potent
with what I can only imagine as a thoroughly prohibitive budget.

Better luck next time.
