Back of the box:

The genesis of the monstrous Leatherface (Andrew Bryniarski) is
recounted in this shocking slasher flick. Before going to fight in Vietnam,
two brothers (Taylor Handley and Matthew Bomer) out for a last fling with
their girlfriends (Diora Baird and Jordana Brewster) end up in a heap o'
trouble when their Jeep crashes. Next thing you know, a psycho sheriff (R.
Lee Ermey) ushers them to a place where terror awaits in the form of
young Leatherface.
The Bloody Truth:

Hell Yes!

The Bloody Truth here is that The Texas Chainsaw Massacre The
Beginning was as complete surprise to me.

As in all TCM follow ups the original disturbing characters and haunting
feel has never fully been recaptured but in this second modern take on the
story we get everything we thought was in the bloodless original and none
of that silly haunting atmosphere to get in the way.  Yes some people are
going to get the hell killed out of them with a chainsaw.

The passable acting and story takes a backseat to the anti hero story of
the most nasty and brutal of all our horror film favorites, LeatherFace him
and his whacked out family of course.

The unrated cut of this film pushes many of our scores and with this sick
family all the violence and gore seems appropriate to the story.

Gore hounds, fans of the disturbing and of course Letherface should find
something to like.

A modern and disturbing bloodbath!  Do we need anything more.  ENJOY
Travel into the mind of mad men or
witness nature at it worst.  It could
happen to you!
