Back of the box:

Having landed in a mental hospital after "killing" Jason in The Final
Chapter, an older Tommy is released to a halfway house populated by the
usual maladjusted teens. Then, surprise, the grisly murders begin anew.
Has the homicidal hockey goalie returned from the dead, or is Tommy
turning into Jason himself?
The Bloody Truth:

In this somewhat strange return of the Friday series we find the same old
formula well in tact.  For many people this movie is just a bit of fluff
between part 4 and 6 and the continuing story of Tommy Jarvis seems to
have little effect on later films.

This aside all the things we love about the Friday movies are alive and
well in part 5 and while it’s nowhere near my favorite it can still be a fun
watch during a late night horror fest.
