Back of the box:

Jamie Bell, Hugo Speer, Laurence Fox, Andy Serkis and Matthew Rhys
play English soldiers stuck in enemy territory in this spooky World War II
thriller. Desperate to stay unseen, they bunk out in an abandoned German
hideout, where slowly, one by one, they're picked off by an otherworldly
enemy they can't identify. For the rest of them to get out alive, they must
understand what they're up against so they can vanquish it before it
conquers them.
The Bloody Truth:

I have always loved period horror and more specifically WW1 or 2 area
horror.  Something about adding a dash of the supernatural to the already
boundless terrors of war just seems to grab my attention.  Deathwatch a
strong festival circuit direct to video, film. It does a fantastic job of
capturing the fear, anger and isolation of the WWI fog of war.

Standout performances and a beautiful balance of horror elements caused
this film to be surprisingly enjoyable and keeps you guessing all the way to
its thought provoking ending.  Deathwatch is yet another example of a
horror film that is treated with respect and quality filmmaking never takes a
back seat to cheap horror.
