Back of the box:

Soon after receiving an African fertility mask, Ellen (Blythe Metz) tells her
husband, William (Luciano Szafir), that she's been attacked by the
Nightmare Man. As Ellen's paranoia increases, William must determine
whether the attacks are real or Ellen needs professional help. Horror fans
will enjoy this hair-raising film from writer-director Rolfe Kanefsky, creator of
the comedic chiller The Hazing.
The Bloody Truth:

Usually the “Eight Horror Films To Die For” series produces completely
polarized films.  Some being fantastic and extreme horror films that easily
top anything hitting American theaters, while others are nearly
unwatchable.  Nightmare Man is much more of what you might expect from
a modern collection of direct to video horror.  A simple, campy B horror film.

The bloody truth is that while Nightmare Man is poorly acted and so
obviously a failure in film making from the beginning, it does grow on you.
It mixes in some effective scares, a more than one sided story and a
classic cast of young characters that from time to time say and do witty
things.

Don’t get me wrong, Nightmare Man is all cheese, but it’s the kinda B
horror movie that when it was said and done was a fun watch…. Late at
night….when you’re tired….with a horror loving buddy by your side.
