Back of the box:
Resurrected from the depths of hell, Freddy returns to kill the remaining
teens on Elm Street. But even after he murders the last kid, Freddy's still
not satisfied and looks for other ways to continue his sinister murdering
spree. He soon finds the perfect person to victimize: Alice, a girl gifted with
the special power of bringing other people into her dreams.
The Bloody Truth:
In the peak of the 80’s, Renny Harlinthey pulled together elements from
every reach of pop culture and created yet another weak and
directionless chapter in the Nightmare series.
While the stories’ characters and purpose are hardly even detectable I did
find that The Dream Master is packed full of memorable deaths that
during re-watching seemed as fresh in my mind as if I had seen the film
just a day before.
Simply, The Dream Master is a cheap yet potent film that tosses Freddy at
a handful of kids for another predictable good time.
