Back of the box:
A heartfelt Irish wake for an old friend accidentally awakens three ghosts --
a rapist, an ax murderer and a pint-sized pyromaniac -- who wreak havoc
on the drunken revelers who danced on their graves (Dominic Purcell,
Josie Maran, Marcus Thomas and Clare Kramer). Tchéky Karyo and
Megahn Perry co-star in this horrific tale of cause and effect from director
Mike Mendez (The Convent).
The Bloody Truth:
One of the better 8 films to die for Grave Dancers offers up some truly
freighting imagery a passable story and a somewhat interesting cast. With
your expectations well in check this is a fun film to watch, it gives us peeks
at greatness but spends most of its time well in the realm of second rate
horror. Aside from a bit over the top climactic ending much of the creature
work is very fighting and reminded me slightly of work from director Chris
Cunningham, and any horror film would benefit from that.
Restless spirits, unhappy demons
and cursed places await you
And the rest.....
